Clyde

First blog ever! Here goes.... So I'm trying to be more adventurous with the Internet (I know I sound like a 67 year old) because I realized the only sites I ever look at are Facebook, my online bank account, e-mail and the occasional YouTube, peopleofwalmart, etc. So I asked friends for names of websites they look at regularly for fun and I was turned onto a blog site. And at first I thought that I would just be interested in reading other people's (more interesting) blogs but I'm pretty sure you have to have your own blog to be able to join and read others.

So as I was registering and thinking what I should write about it became pretty obvious when I looked up and saw Clyde, my 2 year old springer spaniel totally sacked out on the couch after another of his tiring backyard adventures. This dog is my pride and joy and his pictures are found on both my personalized debit AND credit cards :) I love this dog so much but he is a pain in the ass most days and almost always manages to do the opposite of what I want him to do. Almost daily he goes on his expeditions in the backyard, nose to the ground in search of squirrels and rabbits. He hasn't caught anything yet but not for lack of trying. I wouldn't mind at all if he would listen and come when called or if he wouldn't try escaping. At least a dozen times he has squeezed or dug under the fence and gotten lost/stuck out in the woods and blackberry bushes. My biggest beef with this dog though are the enormous vet bills that I've had to pay due to his extreme fear of me touching his ears and heaven forbid trying to put medicine in. He has had a couple ear infections but even with a team of people it has been next to impossible to put the medicine in his ears and the vet has had to totally sedate him to do it. I chose the pic above as another example of his orneriness when it comes to anything medical. He's calm in the picture but he hated that special hat and chewed through 2 cone heads after he was neutered which I'm pretty sure is unheard of but he managed to find a way. Well sometime I'll write about the things I love about having a dog because they definitely out weigh the negative! :)
